Livelihood
Creating Skills. Opening Opportunities. Building Livelihoods.
Employment is more than earning a livelihood. It is about having the skills, confidence and opportunity to build a secure future.

THE NEED
India continues to work towards creating a stronger and more skilled workforce. The vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 places skilling, employability and meaningful employment at the centre of India's long-term growth. Yet, significant gaps remain.
- Unemployment rate in July 2026 (Periodic Labour Force Survey)
- 5.1%
- Labour Force Participation Rate, ages 15 and above
- 55.4%
- Worker Population Ratio, ages 15 and above
- 52.5%
- Overall employability (India Skills Report 2026)
- 56.4%
THE CHALLENGE
At the same time, the India Skills Report 2026 places overall employability at 56.4%, highlighting the continued need to strengthen job-ready skills and connect people with meaningful opportunities.
India is making significant efforts to address these challenges through skilling, employment and livelihood initiatives. But creating skills is only the beginning. People also need access to tools, resources, jobs and markets that can turn those skills into sustainable livelihoods.
That is where Nand Care Foundation's Project Pahal comes in.

YOUR SUPPORT CAN CREATE A BEGINNING
A skill can change the direction of a life—but the opportunity to learn that skill is not available to everyone. Your support can help provide training, tools, equipment, materials and opportunities to connect with jobs and markets.
When you support Project Pahal, you are helping turn skills into income, income into stability, and stability into a better future for families.
We cannot do this alone. Creating sustainable livelihoods requires collective effort. NCF needs immense support to reach more communities, train more people and provide the resources required to turn skills into real livelihood opportunities.
Every contribution counts. Your donation can help a young person gain a skill, help a woman build an income and help families take steps towards moving out of poverty. Together, we can build stronger families, stronger communities and a stronger India.
Donate. Support a livelihood. Be a part of India's growth journey.
