Education
Through our education initiatives, NCF works to help children stay connected to learning and address some of the barriers that contribute to school dropout.
Nand Care Foundation (NCF) is a grassroots non-profit organisation working with underserved and vulnerable communities, particularly tribal communities, coal-mining families and rural populations. Our work is centred around a simple idea — people should have access to the basic needs, opportunities and support they need to live with greater security and dignity.

Founded by Deepak Kumar, NCF began with the belief that meaningful development must start by understanding people and the realities they face every day. We work closely with communities to identify their needs and develop solutions that are practical, accessible and relevant to their lives.
NCF works across four key areas — Education, Hunger & Nutrition, Elderly Care, and Livelihoods. These areas reflect some of the everyday challenges faced by vulnerable families and communities, and are often closely connected. A child who goes to school hungry may struggle to concentrate or continue learning. An elderly person without adequate food, care or support can face isolation and poor health. A family without a stable livelihood may find it difficult to meet basic needs or support the education and well-being of its members.

Through our education initiatives, NCF works to help children stay connected to learning and address some of the barriers that contribute to school dropout.
Our hunger and nutrition programmes support families and communities facing food insecurity by providing nutritious food and essential nutritional support.
Our elderly care initiatives focus on supporting older people who may be living with limited income, inadequate care or social isolation. From nutritious meals and medical support to regular care and attention, we work to ensure that older members of the community are not overlooked and can live with greater comfort and dignity.
Through our livelihood initiatives, we work with women and vulnerable households to develop practical skills and create opportunities for greater economic independence. We believe that sustainable livelihoods can help families become more financially secure and better equipped to meet their everyday needs.
Across all four areas, NCF takes a community-centred approach. We do not believe that every community needs the same solution. We listen, understand the local context and work towards interventions that are practical and meaningful for the people we serve.
At the heart of NCF's work are the people behind every initiative. We believe development is not simply about providing assistance. It is about creating opportunities, strengthening access to essential needs and helping people move towards greater stability, well-being and dignity.
Our approach is simple
Listen to the community. Understand the need. Take action. Create lasting change.
Whether it is helping a child stay in school, ensuring a family has access to nutritious food, supporting an elderly person with care and dignity, or helping a woman build a livelihood — we believe every meaningful change begins at the grassroots.
NCF works to address immediate needs while building pathways towards a more secure, healthy and dignified future for the communities we serve.
